An Academic Project in Branding Design
This was an assignment in Typography I at the University of Baltimore. I created a brand design for the fictional “Get Loaded” laundromat-slash-bar. I had to convey that “Get Loaded” was a fun place to visit even if you had a washer and dryer at home. I did this by designing an appropriate logo, flyers and product packaging.
For my logo, I mimiced the laundry tags found in clothing with the garment washing instructions. I used a thin, tightly-kerned, tall typeface and the universal washing symbols combined with outlines of wine and cocktail glasses.
